Annoucements
1. 1. The 2025 church theme is “Building Together in Unity — To Glorify God and Benefit People.” The encouraging Scripture for the year is, “So we make it our goal to please him” (2 Corinthians 5:9, NIV). This quarter’s focus is “Benefiting Others through the Gospel,” and November’s emphasis is “Caring for the Community,” as the Bible reminds us, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10, NIV).
2. The annual church meeting is scheduled for early December. All coworkers are encouraged to prepare their ministry reports based on last year’s responsibilities and submit proposed agenda items to Brother Hou before the coworker meeting on November 9, where these items will be discussed and finalized.
3. On Thanksgiving Day, November 27, at 12:00 p.m., the church will hold its 25th Anniversary Thanksgiving Love Feast and Gospel Gathering. Everyone is encouraged to invite local relatives and friends, especially restaurant families on holiday break and former church members, to join this joyful celebration of gratitude and testimony.
4. Submissions are now being accepted for the 25th Anniversary Special Edition of the church newsletter, with Brother Ren serving as chief editor. Articles and photos may be submitted to him, and those needing assistance with oral testimonies or recordings may contact Brother Yuan. Selected contributors will be invited to share their experiences and testimonies of God’s blessings upon the NCBC church family and individuals over the past twenty-five years.
5. Please support the church’s Operation Christmas Child 2025 project, with the shoebox gift collection deadline on November 23. Each shoebox of love serves as a bridge to share the Gospel and God’s love with children around the world. Compared with last year, our goal is to see love multiplied and shoeboxes doubled. As Scripture reminds us, “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14, NIV).
Weekly Bible Verse: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud". 1 Corinthians 13:4 (NIV))
